Students’ Motivation to Learn Professionally Oriented Disciplines: Experience of an Empirical Research

Abstract

The paper presents the results of pilot investigation of students’ motivation to learn professionally oriented disciplines. The attempt to adapt Science Motivation Questionnaire (SMQ), proposed by S. Glynn and T. Koballa and to asses its reliability and validity was realized during this research. Directions of refinement of the scale and possibility of its use in further sociological investigations are defined.
