Abstract

The article discusses the importance of urban agglomerations in economic, social, demographic development of the country and its regions. Reduction trend of urban agglomerations formation were shown and her causes were named. A feature country’s cities development, suburbanization process, was identified, features of pendulum migration in agglomerations.  The evolution and significance of the term "agglomeration" were considered. The types of tourism in metropolitan areas and suburban areas were described. Two main trends in suburbanization development and suburban areas in the country.
