This article is devoted to the study of non-governmental institutions managing social protection of citizens in the United States. Study the national traditions and the current state of the formation of the social model «of American individualism». We consider the management structure of the social policy of the state, a network of non-governmental and charitable foundations. Explores the place of private entrepreneurship in the social protection system.
The attention is focused on the levers of state influence on the formation of the American policy of social protection of thepopulation.
