Modern approaches to the definition of risks in occupational safety management system

At the present stage of economy development, enterprises pay significant attention to the occupational safety management system, the assessment of professional risks within the occupational safety management system. Occupational health and safety management, taking into account risk assessment, involves identification of hazards and risk assessment, monitoring of the risk level and identification of unacceptable risk. In the paper the questions of risk definition in various normative documents, the basic concepts of the risk analysis namely, technical, economic, psychological and social are considered. Phenomenological, deterministic and probabilistic methods of risk assessment are considered. The analysis of approaches to evaluation of professional risks and the possibility of using risk assessment methods was carried out.
