Magnetic noise effect on the gravitropic reaction of plants and amplitude and spectrum of magnetic field noise generated by plants during their growth
Keywords:
combined magnetic field, the level of external magnetic field noise, gravitropic reaction, the spectra of magnetic noise generated by seedsAbstract
The experimental investigation of cress and pea roots gravitropic reaction was fulfilled in one magnetic field but at the different level of magnetic noises that was created artificially in the work volume with the samples. The amplitude of the magnetic noise created artificially was in the region from 0.1 nТ/ Hz0.5 until 500 nТ/ Hz0.5. It was shown that the effects that had been investigated before (negative gravitropism, the dependence of the effect on the magnitude of the ratio of AC component of the combined magnetic field to its DC component) didn't depend on the level of external magnetic field noise until the level of 1 nТ/Hz0.5. The following increase of the magnetic field noise level (to the values more than 1 nТ/Hz0.5) caused the essential widening of the curves observed. The other effect that had been observed before (the generation of the magnetic noise by the germinated seeds of wheat and cress) also depended on the level of the external magnetic field noise. The spectra of generated noise depended on the level of magnetic field noise also.
