Cress root gravitropic reaction dependence on the combined magnetic field alternating component amplitude
Keywords:
gravitropic reaction, combined magnetic field, ion cyclotron resonance, parametric resonanceAbstract
Cress roots gravitropic reaction was investigated in details in wide region of alternating magnetic field component amplitude. The amplitude magnitude changed from 100 pT till 35 μT. The results obtained were compared with the theory of parametric resonance for calcium and hydrogen ions. It was shown that though the maximum locations coincided satisfactorily with those predicted by the parametric resonance theory, the form of dependency curve defined reliably from the theoretical one. It is connected with another mechanism of biological effect in combined magnetic field. A mechanism describing adequately both the amplitude maximum location and the curve form have been suggested.
