Mechanism of extracellular ice nucleation in cryobiological systems
Abstract
Mechanism of extracellular ice nucleation in biological system on base of lyophylised human blood plasm was studied by means of small drop method and cryomicroscopy. Primary nucleation in the model system in studied overcooling range was shown to be realized almost completely by a heterogeneous mechanism, contributing 98,7% into phase transition. It was established that the nucleation frequency rises on both system cooling rate increasing and system overcooling.
