Abstract
The paper is devoted to the analysis of the level of formation of competencies of graduates of Russian universities studied within the framework of the sociological research conducted by marketing agency «Prokontakt» in 2011. Basing on the collected data, in particular the expert estimations of competencies of students and academic staff, the author concludes that the modern Russian higher school is not able to produce the competence to meet not only today's needs of the labor market, but also the major challenges of the post-industrial society. One of the main reasons for this is the aging of the university professors, who have sufficient professional qualifications but do not contribute to the formation of future specialists’ competences of personality-willed and humanitarian nature.Downloads
