Abstract

The article analyses the results of the comparative sociological study «The images of the past, present and future via students’ perceptions in the Commonwealth of Independent States», conducted in 2016 in Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia. The study has been focused on the study of respondents’ awareness about the most important events in the history of the USSR. The author compares the assessments of these events by the representatives of the modern young generation in six new independent states, examines the structure of students’ value consciousness, their partriotism level, the character and peculiarities of their attitudes as citizens.
