Abstract

The features of cultural-anthropological and phenomenological methodological approaches to the definition of art space, its structures are revealed; in this regard, the eventuality of the picture (the phenomenological approach) is considered - the picture is not produced by us as an object, but carried out before our as an event. The evolution of visual images and art poetics of E. Hopper and E.Wyeth from formal search for existential, from imagination - to the idea (deep existential experience of truth and sublime), from experiments with form to develop a national tradition; from simulation image to the image as saturated phenomenon - has been determined.
