Abstract
In the second half of the 20th century, in the development of social and humanitarian knowledge, there is a tendency to abandon the generalizing approach to the analysis of socio-cultural reality in favor of the private instrumentalist application of socio-engineering developments. This work is devoted to an analysis of the prerequisites and consequences of this process.
