Concept of the Hidden Curriculum: Actualization and Conceptualization in the Problem Field of Sociology of Education

Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the concept "The hidden curriculum" and conceptualization of it as the phenomenon. It is underlined that as a rule the hidden curriculum is loaded with negative connotation. But in author’s opinion, in the conditions of passing to the humanistic, personality-oriented paradigm of education, there are pre-conditions of actualizing concept "The hidden curriculum ", filling it with new sense. An author asserts that curriculum can both to limit the individual displays of personality and to assist their development, to form qualities necessary for successful inclusion of individual in social processes.
