Evaluation of Tolerance in the Textbooks of History: Empirical Indicators for Content- Analysis

Abstract

The paper demonstrates the system of empirical indicators used to assess tolerance in textbooks on the history of the method of content analysis. Given the possibilities of the method for the testing of hypotheses the correspondent units of analysis have been developed. The author proves the basic categories of analysis for the assessment of the tolerance in the textbooks of history, multiculturalism, political correctness, biased presentation, promotion of tolerance, rationalization, visualization, and pluralism of opinions.
