The Attitude to Events in Eastern Ukraine by Polish and Ukrainian Students (According to Comparative Research)

Abstract

The article consideres the opinion of the students from Ukraine (Kharkiv and Lutsk) and Poland (Zielona Gora) about the events in Eastern Ukraine; it's based on the results of an international research. Author mainly focuses on the sources of information about the conflict and current events, modeling further development and defining the role of the international community in resolving the situation. It is worth emphasizing that Ukrainian students are more optimistic about the prospects of the conflict and the role of the international community in its settlement, meanwhile Polish students are more concerned about the conflict spreading and are more pessimistic about its prospects .It is noted that different views are provoked by the immediate proximity to the area of conflict and the role of the state in it.
