Reconstruction of the Urban Landscape in the Context of the Transformation of Ideological Structures

Abstract

The focus of this article focuses on identifying specific reconstruction of the urban landscape in the context of the transformation of ideological structures. Current socio-political situation in the country is producing new challenges facing the community and the city authorities. Attracting methods of participatory urbanism allows you to «soften» a radical reconfiguration of urban space and identify the main ways to synchronize ideological interventions and affective social realities. An issue to consider the example of these attempts transforming the urban landscape objects Dnepropetrovsk. Specifically presented and analyzed the results of a study conducted within the definition of the best architectural and planning concept of public space with reflection values of the Revolution of dignity. The main attention was focused on the identification of public opinion regarding the appropriateness townspeople establishment of new «places of memory», specifying spatial arrangement places commemorating those killed in recent years and the requirements for visual and symbolic design of these facilities urban space.
