Abstract

The article analyzes the peculiarities of migration processes in the Republic of Belarus. Quantitative and qualitative data on international migration from 2008 to 2014 are presented. The new factors that determine the external migration of the population of Belarus are described. The authors remark that the countries, traditionally attracting the Belarusian labour migrants, are experiencing significant economic problems. The article describes migration orientations and moods of the Belarusian youths, their motivation structure and the countries of possible emigration, the conditions to overcome emigration dispositions. The paper outlines the processes of internal migration, which is hallmarked by its territorial differentiation, also the causes of young adults’ internal migration, depending on the place of their residence and the age of young males and females.
