Civil Disobedience as a Context for the Football-Related Subcultures

Abstract

The article is devoted to analyzing the football-related subcultures as a phenomena of civil society, which is forming in Ukraine now. Attention is accented on relations between different actors of civil society. Defined and characterized the phenomenon of civil disobedience, also analyzed the contributing factors of its propagation in Ukrainian society. Emphasized an increasing informal youth associations importance in this process. Paid special attention to the role of football fans’ and football hooligans’ subcultures in civil disobedience, particular in events that took place in Ukraine at the end of 2013-2014. Noted that realization of civil disobedience by aboutfotball subcultures may have positive and negative social consequences.
