Content and Significance of the Social Justice in the Modern Ukrainian Society (According to the Survey of the Halychyna and Donbas population)

Abstract

In article views about social justice are analyzed, according to survey «Life-Worlds of the East and West of Ukraine (May – June 2014). Author, based on the concept of justification of justice by L. Boltanski and L. Teveno, proposed operationalization of views about social justice in the Donbas and Halychyna. In article perception of values (happiness, justice) in Donbas and Halychyna are compared. In the mass consciousness of inhabitants of the Polar Regions is observed congeniality of value system. In article author analyzes religious practices in the West and East Ukraine. The author considers that principle of justice in society is priority for the residents of both regions. It is proved, that in Donbas and Halychyna common abstract idea of justice dominates, and justice can be achieved due to tolerance and mutual understanding in society. It is emphasized, that everyday practice of achieving of justice and its semantic filling in Halychyna and Donbas are different, that led to aggravation of relations between the two regions. However, the author concludes, that the majority of respondents from Donbas and Halychyna seek to consent between regions by virtue of compromise.
