Abstract

This paper considers a credit from an economic and social point of view. A credit acquires large value at the modern socio-economic development of society. It is marked that from the social point of view promotes welfare of population. It also plays an important role in functioning of the state from the economic point of view and stimulates economy. Ideas of different researchers are systematized in relation to essence of credit. Investigational origin of credit. Socio-economic descriptions of credit are considered. Certainly economic and social functions of credit and their influence on development of society.
