Abstract

Hydrogeochemical characteristics of fluorine in the zone of Donbas hypergenesis and some aspects of its effect on the human body have been considered. Natural and anthropogenic sources of its income to the hydrosphere have been defined. Concentration of fluoride in groundwater of different aquifers has been shown. We have characterized the properties of the element in the groundwater of different chemical composition. To describe the results of experiments the author researched the effect of carbon dioxide on fluorine migration in water. For example, a biological effect of active ions of the element on marrow tissue was presented. It has been emphasized that active influence by fluoride on biological systems is more considerable with presence of boron, aluminium, iron, iodine and other chemical elements. The influence of fluoride on the human body is the result of geochemical activity in underground waters. This fact determines the need to study hydrogeochemical properties of the element in the light of medical- geological aspect.
