V. Gurov and Geological Collection of Kharkiv University

Abstract

The article is devoted work of the famous geologist, Professor of Kharkov University A. V. Gurov, who throughout his life worked for the benefit of science and the university. One of his many accomplishments in the museum has been organizing, systematizing and expanding from its own research and discoveries geological collection Kharkiv Imperial University. This A. V. Gurov turned it into a museum of geology in the full sense of the word. Since the beginning of its existence, the museum not only meet European standards geological museum and science of the time, but has become an important asset for both the national and international community.
