The article touches upon the issues of state estimation of logic and methodology’ application in sociological researches in contemporary Ukraine. Attention is accentuated by lowering the requirements for compulsory representation of all components of methodological base of research, both in its program and in the reporting materials, publications based on obtained results, in particular concerning the standardization of articles that are published in professional editions of Ukraine on sociology. Examples of violations of this norm are given concerning the substantiation of scientific problem in articles published during 2015-2016 years in two leading domestic journals of sociological focus. It’s noted that the claims of some authors on theoretical significance of their publications aren’t justified in cases of missing scientific problem’ formulation, the formulation of which must necessarily be provided for theoretical content. It’s emphasized that the situation can be explained through the concept of methodological trauma, and it’s typical for researchers from post-Soviet countries as well as cultural trauma. The conclusion was drawn that development of sociology in Ukraine in its theoretical and empirical contexts is possible under the condition of vigorous overcoming the inherent in modern sociologists’ methodological trauma.
