Problem of Response Rate in the Conditions of Critical Social Confrontation in Ukraine (on Materials of Researches in the Cities of the Southern Frontier)

Abstract

Results of calculation of coefficients of productivity in terms of the concrete sociological surveys held in June, October, 2014 in Odessa region are presented in article according to the international standards of carrying out mass surveys. The special attention is given to the analysis of response rate which most important characteristics are the level of answers, coefficients of cooperation, refusals and contacts. Causes of failures, social and demographic characteristics of people that refused participation in survey are analysed as well. Information disclosure on the pointed characteristics is a necessary condition for adequate assessment of sociological researches and attests to the fact that research procedures were carried out properly.
