TRAVEL THEMATIC MONOTERRITORIES: EUROPEAN PRACTICES

Abstract

The article investigates the thematic tourist monoterritories as a qualitatively new formation, which identify as innovative or ethnic elements of the settlement. Practical experience of thematic settlements in Poland, Latvia and Lithuania has been developed. Their positive dynamic effect has been revealed: increasing employment and income levels, activation of social activity of monoterritories of rural residents, the increasing role of touristic monoobjects in the settlement system, revival of folk crafts, natural tourism resources.
