Abstract

Article highlights trends in demographic aging of the population of Ukraine for the past 50 years. Comparison with some European countries was made. It was shown geographic differences in the demographic age in the context of regions. Aging and gender-type settlements are presented. Estimation of aging was made as the index of aging of urban and rural population and longevity factor. Analysis of the spatial aspects of parental support facto was done. The main issues arising from the demographic aging population of Ukraine was highlighted.
