Abstract

The paper considers the use of statistical features to characterize the surface settlement network. Powered statistical surface density of the population of Ukraine, created regression models depending on the average population in rural settlements and the distance between them and the relationship between urbanization and population density in the regions of Ukraine. Depending on the level and type of economic development in the regional system emerged with different levels of urbanization, population density and uneven settlements, their placement relative to one another. Given this, the selection of the levels of urbanization and the urban settlements.
