Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Solovyev and others – the classic mediapersons in Pelevin’s metatextual project

Abstract

The features of V. Pelevin’s work with the formed in the general reader’s mind stereotypes of the perception classic mediapersons such as Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, Solovyev and others are analyzed in the present article. The specificity of the secondary mythologization of names, that were estranged from the original, is demonstrated. Special attention is paid to the metatextual aspect of V. Pelevin’s oeuvre, to the problem of loss of the referential relationships with the reality by precedent names and names of geographical objects.
