Abstract

The article highlights some points becoming spell – its relationship with ritual, the history of research spells, attempts to classify, the specifics of implementation. It shows the functioning of verbal formula of dispatching and banishment of diseases in Ukrainian spells.The functional and magical direction of charm as a special type of imaginative and emotional feeling of the world is characterized.
