«One’s» and «Somebody else’s» in the University Memory (On Memories Materials of Kharkiv University 1920–1930)

Abstract

The author makes an attempt to understand the transformation process of the university community in the conditions of reforming the education system in Ukraine in 1920 – 1930. Special attention is paid to the analysis of ways of formation, functioning and transformation of images-representations «one’s», «somebody else’s» and «other» in the university memory. In particular, the article analyzes materials of memoirs and autobiographical texts to find out social, national, cultural, ideological, mental and other contradictions that are typical for the university community of this period.
