Implementing at National Level the 2003 UNESCO Convention on the Safeguarding of The Intangible Cultural Heritage: The Bulgarian experience

Abstract

During the years coinciding in time with, and immediately following, the act of the adoption in 2003 by the UNESCO General Conference of the Convention on the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage (‘the 2003 Convention’) Bulgaria has accumulated considerable experience in the preparation and formulation of cultural policies and activities pertinent to the application of the provisions and guidelines of the convention.
