The Role of V. B. Antonovich in the Formation and Spreading of the Ukrainian National Idea іn the Russian Empire

Abstract

The article examines the conditions and channels for the spreading of the Ukrainian national idea by V. B. Antonovich in society, and shows the specifics of the treatment by an outstanding historian. Particular attention is paid to the role of the professor in the perception of his students of the ideas of Ukrainophilism during the educational process and non-audience communication and as a consequence of attracting of youth to social and political activity by V. B. Antonovich.
