Researches of V. A. Gorodtsov on the Territory of Modern Ukraine

Abstract

V. A. Gorodtsov got interested in archaeological monuments located on the territory of modern Ukraine at the end of the XIXth century. His main researches have been timed to the Archaeological congresses, held in Ukraine at the beginning of the XXth century. The range of interests of the scientist included the archaeological monuments starting from the Middle paleolithic period and ending with the period of Ukrainian Cossacks. The researcher paid attention to the study of the archaeological collections of the museums of Ukraine.
