Abstract

This article discusses various interpretations of "information": attributive, functional and methodological. The anthropocentric paradigm of cognitive linguistics and adequate application of the informational approach to the phenomena and processes of speech-and cognitive activities and communication determine the relevance of the methodological interpretation for linguistic research carried out within the cognitive-discursive approach.
