Abstract

The paper proposes the author’s re ections as to the key problems in a modernizing transit of the
Ukrainian regions from a centralized model of development to a decentralized one, given in the light
of spatial dimension. The paper also presents the survey-based  ndings about factors entitled to
overcome regional authorities’ inertness in decision-making.
