Abstract

Canadian state control of introduction of products of biotechnology and genetic engineering
to bring the experience to establish a system of public administration to ensure biological and
genetic safety in Ukraine is analyzed. It was proved that for the efficient state management in this
area state authorities need to improve the system for the identification and registration of
genetically modified organisms and increase the interest of people to these issues, which will
contribute to the full compliance of Ukraine with a number of international obligations.
