Abstract

The article focuses on two issues in the studying of Nazi mass extermination of the Ihren’s psychiatric hospital patients in occupied Dnipropetrovsk in 1941–43. These two issues concern: corrections of the number of those crime victims and the location of their graves, as well as reconstruction of biographies of two doctors of the hospital, who were involved in mentioned Nazi crime. The work is written on the materials of so-called “case of Ihren’s doctors”, which is stored in the SSU State Archive in Dnipropetrovsk region and until recently was not available for studying. That is the case number 440 (dated 1943–1964) on charges Goncharov V. V., Maksyuta O. D. and others in collaboration with Nazis and in their involvement in actions of killings of hospital patients.
