Upbringing Process in the Eparchial Women Schools in Ukraine (second half of the 19th – early 20th century)

Abstract

The article deals with upbringing practices in the eparchial women schools of Ukraine in the second half of 19th – early 20 century. It focuses on kinds and methods of upbringing students. The author reconstructs educational practices by means of analysing documentation of schools and private sources and draws the conclusion that therewere various education methods in the eparchial women schools, some of them adopted from the Institutes for NobleMaidens.
