He analyzes the peculiarities of the street names’ selection in several Ukrainian cities (Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih, Mariupol, Sloviansk, Kramatorsk, Kremenchuk, and Poltava) among the representatives of various ethnic minorities. Since the names of local Jews are relatively frequently chosen as the new names of the renamed streets, the author has paid a special attention to the names of the representatives of the Jewish communities. He has made a conclusion on the somewhat larger significance of the contemporary state of the ethnic community in the city for its memorialization in the new street names compared with their significance in the past. </em></p&gt;}, journal={V.
