MODERN APPROACHES TO THE ORGANIZATION OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION OF LOCAL GOVERNMENTS
Abstract
The article is devoted to the issues of international cooperation of local self-government bodies with partner cities and international organizations, which is very relevant in modern conditions of digitalization.
The study of the works of scientists showed that in their works much at tention is paid to the interpretation of the concept, functions, international cooperation of local governments and the in traction of local governments with foreign actors international relations. However, the generalization of the scientific literature shows that the issue of modern forms of international cooperation is in sufficiently is closed, and the organizational principles of international cooperation are taking new forms. They are based on a system of modern change aimed at improving and accelerating the processes of obtaining results from international cooperation.
The article presents examples of international cooperation of local governments in modern conditions, offers new approaches to the implementation of international cooperation of local governments with partner cities and international organizations in modern challenges.
The importance of the role of international cooperation of local self-government bodies is substantiated, which is conditioned by the active position of the latter on independence in this process. The need for a permanent international dialogue and the solution of urgent issues for the organization of coordinated work and joint effective decisions is considered.
