FORMATION OF ECONOMIC STABILITY AS A BASIS OF THE NATIONAL SECURITY OF UKRAINE
Abstract
The key priority of any state is to ensure national security, which includes ensuring the country’s sovereignty, preserving territorial integrity, ensuring a decent quality of the population’s life and prospects for further socio-economic development. Dealing with the growth of global and regional instability, increasing of the world development inequality, the problems of ensuring the security of the individual, society, state are becoming actual and new challenges and threats appear. The system of economic security of the country is based on understanding and implementation of the concept of national economic interests at the state and international levels, aim of which is to maintain the balance of the economy, its protection from external and internal threats, prevention of damage to socio-economic system, ability to sustainable development of social policy, protection of society from environmental disasters, the growth of the national competitiveness under conditions of international economic interdependence.
The current geopolitical and international situation, the crisis of the domestic economy, the aggravation of social relations and the social polarization of society create a direct threat to the security of Ukrainian citizens.
A necessary condition for the successful development of a market economy and Ukraine’s integration into the world community, forging interconnections with highly developed countries and overcoming the existing economic crisis in the country, is the appropriate level of economic security. To this end, appropriate programs for economic development of the state and its individual regions are developing and implementing in the country, the process of the system of bodies reformation designed to ensure the appropriate level of economic security of the country takes place.
Ensuring of economic security is achieved through the development and implementation of a set of measures aimed at neutralizing threats to economic security. The functioning of a complex system of national economic security is based on the principles of legality, economic feasibility, a combination of preventive and reactive measures, continuity, differentiation, coordination and control. Therefore, ensuring of the national economic security should be based on strategy.
