Expendability as Dominant Characteristic of Modern Lifestyles

Abstract

The article considers the phenomenon of expendability as the basic characteristic of modern lifestyles. The attention is focused upon the explication of expendability as the determinant of the specific type of thinking, under which an individual believes that expendable human relations could be as comfortable as single-use products and services. It is important to say that advocating a particular lifestyle that is equally available to everybody, expendability destroys the gap between social groups. Contributing to the emergence of diversity, expendability challenges monotony, condenses the time, leveling the value of the eternal and stable.
