Abstract

The article analyzes the effectiveness of public policy in the field of healthy lifestyle formation of the population of Ukraine through the means of physical culture and sports. The factors that hinder full use of physical culture and sports as an effective way of physical and spiritual recovery of the nation are identified. The implementation of some programs in the field of physical culture and sports is analyzed. It is emphasized that in Ukraine national system of physical education, promotion of healthy lifestyle is out of focus of the public policy. Recommendations that can help to improve the effectiveness of public policy in the field of physical culture and sports are offered.
