Abstract

The most common demographic, economic, sociological and other theoretical models of migration studies are discussed in the article. The analysis and systematization of the study of conceptual schemes of modern migration processes is made. Because of the inchoate set of clear and universal criteria of typologization of multiple theoretical approaches to the study of migration processes the analytical search of criteria which help to implement the general classification and systematization of these approaches is made. The author grounds the necessity of the interdisciplinary study of the phenomenon of migration and institutionalization of the sociology of migration as the special sociological theory.
