Abstract

Southern Ukraine (Odessa, Mykolayiv, Kherson provinces (oblasts)) as an integral economic and demographic area, its economy, recreational sphere, ethnic and age-sex structure of the population is described in the article. This allowed the author to identify and analyze the current economic activity of the population, including data on employment, migration and unemployment in recent years (2015-2016) and evaluate the prospects for its development.
