The role of higher education in socio-professional mobility of ukrainian youth

Abstract

The article reveals the essence of the concept «mobility», the content of education as a social phenomenon, its functions, factors, socio-structural and individual preconditions. Analyzed social theories of learning education from the point of view of structural functionalism and the theory of stratification. The role of Universities in shaping the components of the non-professional graduates. Special attention was paid to the main tendencies of the socio-professional mobility in the modern Ukrainian society and examines its relationship with education. The article also indicates the place of education, its importance and role in the times of independent Ukraine, in particular, reflects the results of sociological research on the value of education. It is proved that the practices of foreign and ukrainian scientists several decades ago have relevance in our time.
