Sociological concept of dialogic multiculturalism

Abstract

The article analyzes the sociological concepts of multiculturalism of the American professor Seyla Benhabib and British social theorist Bhikhu Parekh to find optimal solutions to the problems of multiculturalism, intercultural compromise for modern societies, including the Ukrainian society. The central idea of these projects - it is an equal dialogue of cultures as the foundation of modern society and dialogic as a general principle of coexistence of differences in the modern world (the world of cultural diversity). It is demonstrated actuality of these conceptualization for further development of modern democratic processes.
