Abstract

By means of cluster analysis the article deals with grouping of urban socio-geo-systems of Donetsk Region in the period from 2000 to 2011 which has demonstrated that in the course of the period under investigation their development trajectories were quite complicated. The fact is supported by the presence of periods when either structure simplification of this regional sub-system or increase of its differentiation is observed.  Analysis of the clusters’ composition demonstrates that the majority of towns are characterized by similar conditions of development. However at the same time there exist towns with specific individual conditions and trajectories of development.
