Abstract

The methodical aspects of spatial analysis of residential functions in the suburbs of a big city are revealed in the article. The current state of the housing stock in Kyiv’s suburban ring, the dynamics of housing put into service, peculiarities and factors of new residential complexes and cottage settlements location are described. The differences in the spread of residential functions by sectors of suburban area are analyzed. The load of new residential functions on local communities in satellite cities and other settlements in the suburban area of the capital city are estimated.
