Abstract

The article explores the concept of poetry in the philosophy of Martin Heidegger. Poetry is understood as «a way of disclosing hiddenness» (Heidegger), which is opposed to the everyday speech. Technique is understood as a way of disclosing hiddenness by enframing («The question of technique»). To clarify the concept of everyday speech the concept of everydayness, presented in work by Andrei Lustenko, is analyzed. For Heidegger, poetry is the existential, the essence of language and art. It turned out that poetry is not something exceptional, but that non-poetic speech was not always possible: it was caused by the change of the way of revealing the truth, and the relationship to the sign. As a conclusion in relation to the Heidegger’s philosophy of poetry-technique the need for the opposition of poetry to historical movement of thought, that is established to relate to ways for revealing the truth: by pointing or by signifying, in beauty or in information, by seeing the place in the wholeness of being or by exposing in front of him (subject), purposes (objects), is posited.
