TRANSLATION: LIMITS OF TRANSGRESSIVITY
Keywords:
translation, hermeneutics, transgression, the inner form of the wordAbstract
Modern conceptual approaches to translation practice are overwhelmed by postmodern world outlooks, which often cause some distortion in the application of various techniques of translation. Consequently, this situation requires a «safety» criteria, which would not allow to make «interpretive freedom» in the «arbitrariness of translation». This requires a clear border demarcation that transgressive postmodern rhetoric should not proceed at a practical level, in order not to destroy the very practice of translation as such. The basis for such «border demarcation» is the knowing that artificial projection of the «expanded hermeneutics» on some translation procedural can not only add some «dimensions of freedom» that allow something like «transfer of an ineffable», or «materialization of works in the interpretation» but also prevent adequate translation work.Downloads
